December 2019 Housing Market Statistics for Caledon, Toronto-West, and Simcoe

The Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB) has published the December 2019 Housing Market Statistics. Here are some highlights from Caledon, Toronto West, and Simcoe: New Tecumseth.

Peel: Caledon Market Market Statistics

December 2019 vs. December 2018

The number of active listings in Caledon decreased by 31.31% in December 2019 over the same month in 2018. The number of listings that came on the Toronto Board in December 2019 vs. December 2018 decreased by 13 homes or 22.03%. The number of homes sold increased by 3 homes or 6.98%. The average days on the market increased from 35 days to 39 days. Average sale prices were up by 1.47%.

 

Year to Date 2019 vs. Year to Date 2018

The number of homes listed in Caledon, year-to-date increased from 1,839 to 1,897, which is an increase of 3.15%. The number of homes sold increased by 127 homes or 14.84%. The average days on the market remained the same at 30 days. The average sale prices were up by 2.21%.

Toronto West Market Statistics

November 2019 Market stats are out for the Toronto West area, here is a great infographic summarizing some key data points:

📈 The average sale price year to date is $806,413 that is up by 6.72%.
📈 The number of sales year to date is up 9.13% to 8894.
📈 The average days on the market is 20 days down by 4.76%.
📈 The total active listings is 601 down by 34.03 %.
📈 The total number of properties sold in December 2019 was 456.

New Tecumseth Market Statistics

TREB has published the market statistics for December 2019 – here are the New Tecumseth numbers:

December 2019 vs. December 2018

The number of active listings in New Tecumseth decreased from 149 to 110 homes or 26.17% in December 2019 over the same month in 2018. 3 less listings came on the Toronto Real Estate Board in December 2019 vs. December 2018 which is a decrease of 7.14%. The number of homes sold increased by 15 homes or 53.57%. The average days on the market decreased by 10 days, from 46 days to 36 days. The average sale prices were up by 9.81%.

 

Year to Date 2019 vs. Year to Date 2018

The number of homes listed in New Tecumseth, year-to-date decreased by 31 homes or 2.18%. The number of homes sold increased by 123 homes or 17.67%. The average days on the market decreased by 2 days, from 39 days to 37 days. Average sale prices were up year over year by 5.09%.
