The Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB) has published the May 2019 Housing Market Statistics. From the compiled data posted I would like to show you some highlights from Caledon, Toronto West, and Simcoe.
The number of active listings in Caledon increased by 13.17% in May 2019 over the same month in 2018. The number of listings that came on the Toronto Board in May 2019 vs. May 2018 increased by 12 homes or 5.56%. The number of homes sold increased by 10 homes or 10.42%. The average days on the market increased by 15 days or 68.18%. Average sale prices were up by 12.03%.
The number of homes listed in Caledon, year-to-date increased from 807 to 883, which is an increase of 9.42%. The number of homes sold increased by 13 homes or 3.54%. The average days on market increased from 29 to 32 days. Average sale prices were down by 0.81%.
May 2019 Market stats are out for the Toronto West area, here is a great infographic summarising some key data points:
📈 Average sale price year-to-date increased by 3.53% to $788, 625
📈 The number of sales year-to-date increased by 6.33% to 3,609 sales
📈 The average number of days on the market decreased by 5.0% to 19 days.
📈 The number of total active residential listing increased by 2.36% to 1,561
📈 The total number of properties sold in May was 1056

TREB has published the market statistics for May 2019 – here are the New Tecumseth numbers:
The number of active listings in New Tecumseth decreased from 269 to 249 homes or 7.43% in May 2019 over the same month in 2018. 4 more listings came on the Toronto Real Estate Board in May 2019 vs. May 2018 which is an increase of 2.34%. The number of homes sold increased by 17 homes or 20.73%. The average days on the market decreased by 5 days, from 37 days to 32 days. Average sale prices were up by 0.05%.
The number of homes listed in New Tecumseth, year-to-date decreased by 24 homes or 3.63%. The number of homes sold increased by 29 homes or 10.18%. The average days on the market remained the same at 35 days. Average sale prices were down year over year by 0.40%.
